HostMaria
Good afternoon, This might be helpful to those who pay VAT - you will need to update the VAT rate for Ireland from 23% to 21% 21% is a relatively new TEMPORARY VAT and after all this Covid madness should go back to 23%. The official information says "the standard rate of Irish VAT will be temporarily reduced from 23% to 21% for a six-month period from 1 September 2020 to 28 February 2021", BUT you can never be sure about these end dates and what will really happen then. brian!
for the benefit of others on how to change VAT rates correctly in WHMCS. https://docs.whmcs.com/How_To_Guides#Change_Tax_Rate Quote Change Tax Rate Sometimes, governments change the sales tax rates. This is significant, since you must also update your rates accordingly. For the purposes of this example the UK sales tax, VAT, is increasing from 17.5% to 20% on 4th January. This means that at midnight on Monday, 3rd January, or at the latest before the cron job run on the 4th for generating new invoices, you will want to update the tax rules in your WHMCS installation so that new orders and invoices use the higher rate. This is possible through the WHMCS admin interface under Configuration () > System Settings > Tax Configuration or, prior to WHMCS 8.0, Setup > Payments > Tax Configuration: Delete the original tax rule by clicking the corresponding red delete icon. Create a new tax rule with exactly the same country and state but enter the new tax rate. Any invoices that the system generates after this change will use the new tax rate, but any existing invoices will keep the old tax rate. https://blog.whmcs.com/133628/an-untaxing-time-changing-vat-rates-in-whmcs
