License module after WHMCS user goes out of business

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a situation that I wonder if it may not be that unique and there might be a solution.  I purchased a ONE-TIME buy software from someone using WHMCS with the license module as their license validation software.  The company went out of business over night.  As in deleted all traces of themselves including their website but that had the unfortunate side affect of invalidating all the software installs since the software cannot call home to validate.

I am not looking to hack the license system, I am looking for a legit way for something that was bought legit as a one time software purchase to continue to run if the whmcs license server it was purchased from is now gone.

Hope I am making sense and if anyone know what I can do I welcome the feedback.

Thanks
