Thanks for the response.

I opened a ticket with WHMCS and they shared their findings causing the issue. 

Cause:
// When changing a promotion code on a service, it is important to update the Recurring Amount to the amount that you would be charging after the discount has been applied. This is because this is how it is expected to be set (and how WHMCS does it when a promotion code is used when ordering).

For example: if the service is normally 549 and you want to give a 50% discount with a promotion code, the Recurring Amount should be set to 274.50.

Correcting that should resolve this going forward.//

@Benjamin Biswas We are still waiting for the recurring invoice to generate. However,  as posted above we have to correct the recurring amount to the discount renewal amount.
