PayPal Subscription Recurring Amount

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a problem with my setup, so I thought i'd post in this forum and see what everyone else is getting.

I'm testing out the cart and deciding if I should move over from order.php. At first, it looks promising, but I think i've come across quite a big error.

After adding a couple of products to the cart, It seems it is reporting the pricing incorrectly.

The two hosting plans are different, but both are on monthly pricing plans.

I don't understand why the "Total Due Today" is different from "Total Recurring". Surely this should be the same?

Secondly, it doesn't seem to pass the correct amount to paypal.

£8.98 GBP for the first month. Then £2.99 GBP for each month
What?? That's not right either!

Any idea whats going on?

The same as always, domains aren't included in the recurring total. Both on the single product order form, cart, and PayPal Subscription. The customer will be invoiced for domains and can renew them any time they want from the client area.

Ok, but from a clients point of view, this doesn't make sense.

Especially when WHMCS shows the recurring total as being £5.99 and paypal says its £2.99

Why can't both products be included in the same subscription? Surely this would be much easier for both the client and us.

Matt. Awesome job on the cart. Thank you.

Just a suggestion about the subscriptions.

Firstly, I agree with the others about having a single subscription. Easy for the customer and easy for us.

But I also see the benefit of having a subscription for each package.

We also have the same issue if the 2 packages have differing recurring periods.

So how about this for workflow ...

On the view-invoice page, show a subscription button for each recurring period or each product.

The customer then selects the first subscription and on completion is returned to the view-invoice page.

Behind the scenes, the selected (and presumed setup) subscription is flagged and the button no longer appears.

The customer then selects the next subscription button and the process repeats.

Once all the subscriptions are flagged as being done, the view-invoice page automatically forwards to the client area.

This allows for the customer to setup all subscriptions before the order process is actually completed.

Also, a 2nd option could be given to the customer to setup a single subscription for all monthly (or yearly, or whatever) products if they wish.

End result ... customer is happy because they have had a choice, we are happy because the customer is happy, and you are happy because we are all in here signing the praises of a wonderful coder :)

{What? Was that laying it on a bit thick ;) }
