Is it ok to use PayPal Express Checkout & Basic both together?

Yes, you can use both PayPal Checkout & PayPal Basic side by side without any issue. https://help.whmcs.com/m/93401/l/1184702

WHMCS version 7.9 introduces a new PayPal payment experience for one-time payments, powered by PayPal Checkout with Smart Payment Buttons.

This new gateway module is named PayPal.

The previous PayPal payment gateway module has been renamed PayPal Basic.

The PayPal Basic gateway can continue to be used to provide clients with the traditional PayPal one-time payment and subscriptions experience. It will continue to operate as before.

To record existing PayPal Subscription payments, the PayPal Basic module should remain active.

The new PayPal Checkout experience can be activated by enabling the PayPal module.
