AdSwitch
After updating to 7.9 from 7.6.1 we get: /bin/sh: line 1: 46622 Bus error (core dumped) /usr/local/bin/php -q /home/.../crons/cron.php > /dev/null 2>&1 We receive this as an email notification every morning at 9AM (that's the hours of execution of automated actions) instead of the WHMCS Cron Job Activity email notification, altough WHMCS finishes all the actions in the background. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 12, 2020 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 12, 2020 Hi @AdSwitch, This isn't something I've ever encountered before. Could you please follow the following troubleshooting guide, and share the output here for review? https://help.whmcs.com/m/automation/l/683269-advanced-cron-troubleshooting
AdSwitch
Solved the problem! WHMCS must have added additional cron job calls to control panel during the upgrade for some reason. As soon as I removed them (3rd and 4th) and left only cron.php call (and pop.php for email import) , we received the final email notification.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 13, 2020 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 13, 2020 Hi @AdSwitch, I'm pleased to hear you were able to identify the solution, and thanks for sharing it. I can confirm that WHMCS does not have the ability to configure cron jobs on your server itself.
