brianemwd
I started receiving the following error message on all enom domains this morning via WHMCS: Registrar Error CURL Error: 56 - OpenSSL SSL_read: Success I notice that the nameservers for these domains are not being pulled from the Enom server. Nothing has changed on my end and I am pretty sure it is an issue on Enom's end. However I am wondering if anyone else is seeing this. PPNSteve
Seeing "Registrar Error CURL Error: 56 - OpenSSL SSL_read: Success" on my installation as well.. not sure what's going on and if I'm actually connecting to enom or not.. perhaps its enom? UPDATE: see https://enomstatus.com/ Quote WHMCS connectionsSubscribe Investigating - Users connecting to the Enom API through WHMCS are receiving the error response "CURL Error: 56 - OpenSSL SSL_read: Success". We're looking into why this is happening and will keep you posted.Nov 21, 07:30 PST Edited November 21, 2019 by PPNSteve UPDATE
WHMCS ChrisD
Have your servers upgraded to curl 7.67? If so please contact your system administrator and ask them to downgrade you to curl 7.66
brianemwd
How?
WHMCS ChrisD
@brianemwd Please contact your system administrator for assistance with this.
PPNSteve
Enom handed this off to whmcs as a software problem. Downgrading a security update provided by cPanel is NOT a viable solution to this issue.
brianemwd
I agree. I think this is a WHMCS problem and they need to fix it. Also someone on cPanel's community said downgrading to curl 7.66 did not fix the issue.
WHMCS ChrisD
@PPNSteve The issue is with the curl Update 7.67 that went out last night which introduced some unexpected errors due to some changes and has broken the eNom Module, the only current work around is below: This issue has been identified as occurring due to a specific curl version where increased sensitivity to OpenSSL's `SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL` has been implemented inadvertently. This curl version appears to have made it's way in to the latest cPanel update. To resolve this issue, please work with your System Administrator to downgrade your version of Curl installed to 7.66 which will resolve the issue until a further update is released.https://help.whmcs.com/m/troubleshooting/l/1173137-troubleshooting-curl-error-56-openssl-ssl_read-success-error If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to get back in touch.
MyDomains.tech
This is over 4 years old and still an issue. Does anyone have any usable workarounds besides downgrading curl?
