Free trial product for fixed time

Hello

I have a product and a promotion code, so I want if a customer uses promotion code, can buy free trial product and if he/she does not have promotion code, must pay for it.

also I want to customize email that sends to customers that use free trial product.

if I understand what you want correctly, then you can't do that from settings, e.g you can't have a product X selected with a promo code, but select product Y if no code is entered... I daresay you could do it with coding, but not out of the box.

the usual work around would be to give this trial product a price, ideally an expensive price, to discourage those without the code not to order it... with the code, the price is free.

you could assign a custom welcome message template to the trial product.
