jimlongo
Hi, when someone upgrades a product in WHMCS I need to call an external API to edit a subscription. What is the best place to do that? is it ShoppingCartValidateProductUpdate, or AfterProductUpgrade? Or something else entirely? Then if that external edit should fail, how do I stop the upgrade in WHMCS from completing (I can display an error here). Thanks.
steven99
Personally I think such actions should be taken with AfterModuleChangePackage for successful changes and AfterModuleChangePackageFailed for failed changes. I believe the module has to implement, even just a simple "success" return, of the ChangePackage function in order for those hooks to fire. I believe this is better than say a cart or order hook because you would not want to change the subscription unless the requested changes were actually done.
