How to hidden some Group products in whmcs cart

Hi all,

i 'm a particular situation because i have some different whmcs installations with different products, clients and so on.
I'm unifying all of them in only one whmcs installation importing them in this new one.

Obv i need to continue have some different products and group products that are imported from 5 whmcs version, my goal is that when a user from a website click on direct whmcs product link can see only hosting products grouped in the same "Group products".

Below a simple example:

In whmcs i have two different Group products:

a) Group name: Hosting A
 - Hosting A1
- Hosting A2

b) Group name: Hosting B

- Hosting B1
-Hosting B2

If user click from my website ( in which are only hosting grouped in Group name a ) direct link for "Hosting A1", so he goes in whmcs and need to see only Product hosting HostingA1 and Hosting A2.
He will never have to see Hosting B1 and Hosting B2.

Is there some possibilites to do it?

Thank you very much.

Regards

first thought might be to suggest looking at the branding addons in Marketplace.

if that's overkill for your needs, then another option would to hide *ALL* of these specific product groups - so that nobody sees any of them... remembering that you can still link to a hidden product group (using the link shown in the product group setup) and show the products within it...

if hiding all groups is not an option, then you're probably looking at hooks to determine which groups are show, when and to whom... but that could get complicated. 🤕

 Hi Brian,
thank you for your reply...

I have already seen into marketplace and even out ot it some solution about my goal and necessity but i have seen that with "multibrand for whmcs" developed from modulesgarden isn't usable from me because i have already clients / products / invoices included in my whmcs, this kind of solution would be great with a new whmcs brand configuration starting from scratch.

About "multisite module" i need to have more informations about developer to understand if his product it's correct for me.

Yes, i'll might exhibit to some user that come from an URL or click on some only direct whmcs link only some product or group in which are only some hosting products 😕

but those existing clients could be migrated to a brand - and if that brand already includes the invoice design that they're used to, they may not notice any difference.

You can also manually assign the already existing customers to the brand or migrate them to another.

i'm not suggesting that MB is ideal for your situation (as I don't understnd your situation as well as you do), and i'd personally be wary of any MB option without careful consideration, but it's certainly an option to consider.

beyond that, you also need to know if it's even compatible with the latest WHMCS version (or at least the version that you have installed)... it mentions in Marketplace working with v7.2.2, but that was released 18 months ago and there have been a lot of changes with WHMCS that could impact this since then... so i'd suggest that you check first when it was last updated, and if happy with that answer, perhaps take advantage of their free trial version - but install it on a dev installation well away from any live production site and play with its features.

I quite liked my idea of hiding all of these product groups and then giving each brand a link to specific hidden product group - they'd see the products within that group, but none of the others... now obviously, the other groups are just hidden (not protected), so an inquisitive user could find them if they understood WHMCS, but how likely would that be? you could probably code WHMCS to prevent that from happening, but it would take you some time to test it thoroughly.
