Via ShareASale affiliate link, after payment redirecting to viewinvoice.php instead of cart.php?a=complete

Hello all,

I am trying to set-up ShareASale account and added tracking on my website.
When a regular sale happening without a ShareASale link, the user gets redirected to the payment gateway, make the payment and reaching back to the cart.php?a=complete Page.

But when a sale was happening via ShareASale's link, the user is redirecting back to viewinvoice.php?id=xxx. In this page, there would be a login screen and once he logged in the user strangely getting to https://viewinvoice.php.

If I manually change the URL https://mydomain.com//viewinvoice.php?id=xxx to https://mydomain.com//cart.php?a=complete then the user will get logged in and the transaction gets added to ShareASale.

Please help me to get this fixed.

I will explain so that will help for future reference.

Problem: Cookies are getting removed

Reason: When my Affiliates Manager went setting up our account with ShareASale, she gave the URL with www. That means https://www.example.com/.
But as per our WHMCS setup, our system URL is naked, https://example.com/.

When initiating a test sale, the flow begins from https://www.example.com/ thus ShareASale adds the cookie to the URL with www. But once payment gets captured, the purchase flow coming back to the root URL, https://example.com/. And at this point, since https://www.example.com/ can't get access to cookies of https://example.com/, it will be like there is no any cookie.

Solution: After finding the cause, then the solution was straightforward. I made a call to ShareASale and asked them to remove www from my URL with them.
All good now.
