Jessica Prince
I am trying to figure out if there is a way to regulate what characters are used when whmcs generated a random password for a client. I like the random password feature as it's cuts down people being able to create a username and password that are both john123 for example. The issue that I am facing is that many clients cannot differentiate between certain characters like a captial "O" and the number "0", or an uppercase "l" and a lower case "l". It is creating a mass amount of support tickets because clients think their login details do not work, but in reality, they are just entering them wrong. I am not sure if there is a solution to this or not. Is there a way to tell whmcs not to use certain characters when generating a random password for a client? Any help is much appreciated. xoxo Jessica
WHMCS ChrisD
HI Jessica, Thanks for your post, out of the box there isn't a way to do this, you may, however, be able to achieve this with a customisation would you like me to move this to the Service Requests and Offer board?
