Madumi
Hi, I understand that even when I select "Automatically setup the product as soon as the first payment is received" under module settings for a product, when a customer places an order, the order will be set to "Pending" status. Does this mean, say for a reseller hosting package, if a Welcome Email is selected, that the client will still receive their welcome email with login credentials, and be able to log in to their newly created cPanel account? Or does it mean they will only be able to log in to their new cPanel account after I go in and change the status of the order from Pending to Accepted? Thanks!
WHMCS ChrisD
Hi @Madumi Your client would receive their login details after their account is created, which occurs when they pay or if you accept the order prior to payment and then it will generate the welcome email and send to them
Madumi
Thanks so much ChrisD And if I never Accept the account (keeping it in Pending status), could you give me an idea of what stage problems will occur (if ever)? Thanks!
Madumi
Just checking if it's possible to receive input on what would happen if I say forgot to accept the account & it remained in pending status. When would problems occur (if ever)?
WHMCS ChrisD
Setting to accepted ensures that billing occurs and your client sees accepted in the customer portal, it should be fine without setting to accepted but we wouldn't recommend it
