snake Posted January 22, 2018 Share Posted January 22, 2018 I have an app that was working a couple of weeks ago, but now is giving "Authentication Failed" from the API The code has not changed, WHMCS has not changed (it is a dev version, so nobody touches it). The credentials have not changed, and I can still login with them. The IP address has not changed and is still on the allow list. Nothing is showing in the WHMCS logs. I am lost as to why this has mysterious started failing. Anyone got any ideas, is there any API logs anywhere that can be enabled to give me more info? snake Posted January 22, 2018 Author Share Posted January 22, 2018 nevermind, I solved it minutes after posting this LOL. It is a tool that migsers rates usuers from HELM to WHMCS. Turns out there was a custom field in the data being submitted called PASSWORD which was being selected and was overwriting the api password.
