rbro
How will the rapidly approaching ver. 3.5 Kayako integration handle the fact that it has its own Knowledgebase, News section, Downloads section etc. We're currently using (I think) Adam's Kayako integration script which is great, but I've always thought having 2 sets of Knowledgebases, announcements etc. is a bit confusing.
bear
It's my understanding that this will act as a full replacement of the WHMCS desk and KB. Essentially, dropping Kayako into the middle of WHMCS. I would further assume it's a one or the other choice.
joev
Yes I believe it would replace the KB/downloads/ticket & announcement area of WHMCS with the KAYAKO. I'm eagerly waiting for WHMCS 3.5 to arrive now..

MACscr
its only going to replace the client side AFAIK, there will be no admin integration
Fernis
Too bad there isn't an admin integration. KAYAKO is very nice, but I'm not sure how I feel about having to use two admin panels. If you are currently doing this, how do you feel about it?
bear
If it can show tickets (as links is fine) to the end user, I don't care if I have to log in to Kayako to handle them. It's how I've been doing it all along. I just want the front end experience for the client to be as easy and user friendly as possible. What matters is making them happy by making everything easy to find.

neobug103
Does anybody know of the Kayako integration will be compatible with the portal theme and not just the default one?
joev
I think the better question would be to ask when 3.5 is going to be released so that you can try it yourself . We all are waiting for a date from Matt now..
rbro
So can anyone (Matt?) please clarify whether or not the Kayako KB and Announcements will replace the WHMCS one or if I will have the choice of using one over the other? I'm just updating our KB now and might as well be working on the right one. EDIT: Downloads area as well....

It's been made clear several times on this thread that all the WHMCS support stuff will be replaced with the Kayako support items if you choose to use the integration.
rbro
Bear mentioned that he assumed it was a one or the other choice. Someone else said they "believed" it replaced the entire support system. Before I go through the work of updating the entire Kayako KB, my request for a clarification still stands.
arhost
If you look at the screenshots, it shows WHMCS KB replaced with Kayako KB. See: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=6835
rbro
I guess that is the Kayako KB. Thanks!
