kepler
Good morning, I have 2 hosting plans where I want to give the user a 15 days to try the service for free. After that trial, the user will be charged monthly if he wants to continue with the hosting plan. If he doesn't pay the invoice, the account must be suspended. 1 month or 30 days is easy to understand the process. But defining 15 days (or 10, 13...) it's a little bit trickier. Can someone please advise the best way of doing this? The products are set to be billed monthly with recurring payments. Kind regards Kepler
panacheweb
if you are going to do that give them 50% off that one month. Free always invites more issues. The days of free trials are basically replaced with a 30-day money back guarantee.
brian!
you're falling between two features here - the usual two solutions would be... 1. setup a trial product that terminates after x (e.g 15) days and allow them to upgrade to the monthly paid product... you can use WHMCS to send them emails before and after the termination to encourage them to upgrade. 2. you could setup the monthly product as normal, but discount the first month using a promotion code... it would then be effectively free for 30 days... anything less than a month would require custom coding or an addon.

Hi Brian, I thinks your sugestions are great. What I really want, is to give a free trial (7 , 15 or even 30 days) where nothing is charged to the user, and no financial data is asked. After that period - or a little bit earlier (2 days for instance) - I wish to remind the user that the trial is ending and, if he's satisfied, can subscribe. Otherwise the account will be suspended or terminated. Is it possible to do so, and would you be so kind to explain me - give me some hints - how to configure that in WHMCS products? I'm a newbie in this....sorry. Kins regards, Kepler
