Promotions code not fully working

nodewp

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I created a promotion code to discount 100% for all of my product for 6 months (see attachment below).

I want:

- Only new customer with new order will be discount.

- Discount is once per customer, per order

I tried to test but promotion code is not fully working. I can put it in order form, then total pay become 0$. But after I press checkout button, the total pay back to normal (at all payment method).

Any suggestion? Thank you.

  • WHMCS Support Manager

Hi,

If the promotion code is not being applied when the invoice is generated, this could be caused by an after-market customisation or a database issue.

Could you please ensure there are no customisations present on your installation as these can often change the way WHMCS operates.

These are typically located in the /includes/hooks and /modules directories.

Once the issue is resolved you can add them back one-by-one until the problem begins again - at which point you have identified the troublesome customisation and can contact the vendor directly for assistance resolving the problem in their code.

If the problem persists after that, could you please:

  • Navigate to Setup > General Settings > Other tab
  • Enable the MySQL Debug option
  • Reproduction the problem
  • Disable The MySQL Debug option
  • Navigate to Utilities > Logs > Activity Log

Then post any MySQL errors you see logged here.
