Great,

So lets say Im the server admin and i setup VPS servers for my resellers to use. They could then use their own licensed WHMCS for their resellers and end users.

But my next question is, they would have to login to my WHMCS license for support through me and then into their own to support their customers. Is this the best way to work this out? Or can they login once to receive support from me and to support their resellers/end users?

Thanks

Each install would be separate. Your resellers would log into yours (since they pay you) to get support and products from you. They sell to others, who would log into the WHMCS install they bought from to get support and buy additional products.

If you were to support the customers of your resellers, they would know you were the supplier. That might upset most end users, as well as the resellers themselves.

One last thought on this...

Any idea on how to automate the order process of a vps server with whmcs and whm/cpanel so that on the whmcs integrated order page the customer could order the vps and the vps would be created?

This sounds like it would be complicated.

How do you handle billing for vps in whmcs?, woulld you set it up as a server plan?

Yes, you set it up as a VPS/Server plan.

And if you get the de-kit an your VPS technoly supportsit, you could write a provisioning module.

I've looked at doing it, but there are so many things with the VPS deployment under both Xen4-Enterprise and Virtuozzo that you still have to handle manaully or by reference to internal documentation or that (IMHO) are a PITA to automate - ta right now manual VPS creation / upgrades / migrates is less problemaic and troublefee

Having WHMCS do the invoicing though is great :)

The HyperVM module is a fairly new one and was introduced in the last release of WHMCS. I have seen HyperVM being used by many large VPS companies as it can take alot of pressure off them and it allows customers to carry out basic day to day VPS tasks. HyperVM licensing is currently 50 cents (US) per a VPS, which is very cheap IMO.

I dont see any information on the hypervm module and what it does on the whmcs website, am i overlooking this? If it can auto create vps's fairly easy with hypervm i may switch to hypervm, even though i hate the look of it.

Does whmcs offer any load balancing features yet for something like this? ex. create the new vps on the server with the most free resources, etc.?
