graisbeck
I noticed that I did not receive my usual cron system email this morning and when I looked at the activity log it showed this - Admin Email Notification Sending Failed - PHPMailer Exception - SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting (Subject: WHMCS Cron Job Activity) Has anyone any ideas why this would just randomly happen as the email has been sent every morning for weeks now without any fault? brian!
Solved it! and, of course, you're going to share the solution in case anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation in the future and reads this thread!
graisbeck
and, of course, you're going to share the solution in case anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation in the future and reads this thread! I was just about to brian! All I did to rectify this problem was to remove the default sender email address in 'Set up>General', clicked 'Save', re-entered the email address and clicked 'Save' again. Of course, it may of just been a temporary bug that stopped the email in the first instance, but who knows? What's important is that this morning I received my cron email as usual.
