Just curious... howto: generate "view this email in your browser" link for generated emails

Does this feature already exist, like is it a secret hidden feature?

 

- Might you have any resources or tips or tricks to share on how to achieve this?

 

This is definitely a bell and whistle type thing.

 

- Do you see any type of security risk to this?

- Could you see this as an extreme difficult thing to code?

if you were keeping it internal to WHMCS, then I can't think of a simple way to do it... you could add a link to viewemail.php?id=x, but there'd be two problems - you wouldn't necessarily know the value of x before sending, and the user would still need to login to view the email.

 

I suppose you could link to clientarea.php?action=emails, but they'd still need to login.

 

I could see ways around it, but i'd be tempted to file this under "potentially doable - but not worth the hassle".
