Damo
Will this release include the useful information (that was previously removed) in the cron email? That's more important that Marketplace Connect for most users based on these forums.
Damo
Anyone currently running the beta able to chime in here? Or perhaps a response from WHMCS?
Damo
So someone at WHMCS moved these posts to their own thread (don't know why as I asked in a relevant place) yet they didn't bother to respond.
WHMCS Nate
Damo, First off sorry for the confusion. I requested that your comments be moved to a new thread outside of the beta section and the specific questions addressed. That is not quite what happened, so I will be taking both actions. I am not aware of any substantial changes to the cron subsystem in 7.2. The cron email changes were about deduplicating information, we provided a detailed report in the activity log and in the email. For large installations with lots of products the cron email was not useful as it included too much information in a format not really designed to handle it. We replaced it with an executive summary in the email and the same detailed logging in the activity log. If there is information you relied on in the email, that is not in the activity log now, I am interested in learning about that. Broadly the beta forum is for providing feedback and answering questions about the new functionality in the release. If it was a forum for discussing anything that had not been implemented in the new release, it would lose its focus. We have a feedback and general discussion area for discussions like this. We also have a feature request system to capture specific ideas for changes or improvements. Have a great day, Nate C
