timeout issues with auto upgrade

Recommended Posts

Hi,

It would be awesome if this list of server requirements had explanations of how to achieve them posted on the Automatic Updater documentation (or here on the forum):

  • A PHP Memory limit of at least 128MB
  • At least 250 MB of free disk space
  • PHP setting allow_url_fopen enabled
  • PHP max_execution_time in excess of 60 seconds
  • PHP Zip Extension or the proc_open PHP function enabled
  • PHP setting open_basedir to include entire WHMCS docroot

I understand the second one on the list, but how to configure the others is beyond me. I am a reseller and my primary skills are web development, not server hosting. I know how to achieve some of these through configuring an htaccess file for Wordpress, for example, but through or for the server, no.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. ;)
