I found Register Domain page bug. Please how to resolve it ?

My customer reported bug in Register Domain page.

 

Eg. He was trying to search a domain that domain not available. after enter nrew domain name but search button not active (disabled) how to search ? then was after page reloaded then working ?

 

My Question is every new domain search page reload required ? I attached screenshot please help me.

I don't believe that it's a bug, you probably just have too many alternative TLD suggestions in your settings!

 

after you do a search, it seems to be hanging searching for the alternative suggestions - I gave it 3 minutes and it still hadn't finished, which means there are either too many for it to search or there's an error with one of the whois servers.

 

I would suggest you try two things...

 

1. as a temporary measure, remove all the suggestion TLD settings from setup -> general settings -> domains -> domain lookup -> standard whois -> configure

2. try switching to using the "Six" template to ensure there isn't an issue with your theme... though I don't think the issue is with your template though, I think it's the TLD settings.

 

if removing all of the suggestion TLD solves the issue, then you can add a few of them back - though 5 to 15 is the usual limit, not the 40+ you probably have in there now.

 

that said, even on our v7.01 dev with only 7 or 8 suggested TLDs, it just took 43 seconds to do a search - which is very slow.
