Accepting American Express on WHMCS

Would really depend on the gateway you're using and where you are located. If in the US, authorize.net has been good for the most part. Been looking at Stripe to make it easier on fees. Paypal Payments Pro / proflow might be an option, though really haven't used it. There are modules for those 3, with stripe being a third party module.

Stay as far away from authorize.net as possible. These people are scams at this point.

If you are in the US, take a look at CDG commerce . They'll help you get setup, using their own tokenized system if you ask (quantum gateway), which is, absolutely compatible with WHMCS.

Best part? They don't charge you to use gateway, just the normal processing fees

Another thing to keep in mind is that Amex is not a traditional card. You'll be charged more in fees, you'll get payments later (they handle their own payments), it's a mess. I wouldn't advise it unless it's absolutely, 100% necessary, and even then, I'd send 'em to Paypal , which can do the processing there.
