Lek
Hi, I am experience a problem with Automatic Domain Registration. Maybe is my misunderstanding only. I have a WHMCS in place (still not deploy to the public). I still did not connect it to a billing system so I use the mail module (pay in bank). I correctly install an API (I did place an order via https that looks something like https://api.namecheap.com/xml.response?ApiUser=XXXXXX&ApiKey=5b6707e88a3e411111111111111111&UserName=XXXXXXX&Command=namecheap.domains.transfer.create&ClientIp=101.101.101.101&DomainName=example.com&Years=1&EPPCode=base64:ASASASAsssssPIZZAAidU8= and did work so the API is OK). Then I create a customer and the customer order a domain transfer. Then log in in my WHMCS as admin and accept the order and put the order also in PAID status. So, following http://docs.whmcs.com/Domains_Configuration#Automatic_Domain_Registration I would expect that at the moment is in the PAID status the order should automatically take place and start the transfer. But it does not. Where I am wrong?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 24, 2016 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 24, 2016 Hi, Please ensure you have selected your chosen domain registrar for automation in the "Auto-Setup" dropdown on the Setup > Products/Services> Domain Pricing page. If that's already the case, pleas review Utilities > Logs > Activity Log at the time of according the order and paying the invoice and paste the logs here for us to review. Relevant documentation: http://docs.whmcs.com/Auto_Setup_Issues
Lek
Hi, thanks for replay. I partially solve the problem. If I choose "auto registration" in the domain pricing, the registretion will NEVER start automatically if I don't have a billing system (eg: paypal, credit card...), neither if I use the email module "pay in bank" so the orther, even if complete were in a complete alt. As the "auto registration" was choosen in the order list, after selecting the order in question, I could not choose the registrar and so neither I could tick the box "send order to registrar". So I remove the "auto registration", and repeat the order (delete the old one) and in the order list, once I selected the order, I could now "send order to registrar" and in few seconds the order was really placed. So from what I understand (I am really new here) to let the order completely automatic you MUST have a working billing system different than "pay in bank" (http://docs.whmcs.com/Domains_Configuration#Automatic_Domain_Registration). Please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.
