Daniel
If I were to create a one-time discount code for 100% with unlimited uses, how would this work with PayPal subscriptions? I'm unsure if the subscription would be setup at the amount of the first order, therefore making each subscription payment £0.00 Secondly, is there anything to stop a client reusing the code a second time on one account? Thanks
isdoo
If it is 100% then it would be free, with no payment due in Paypal for the first payment - however I have noticed that if you order more than one domain ONLY the first domain is 100% free. This I would have thought is a bug. If you make it just for the first billing period, anything after that would require payment.
Daniel
So paypal would know to set the first payment as £0.00 but every other month at full price?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted November 5, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted November 5, 2007 If it is 100% then it would be free, with no payment due in Paypal for the first payment - however I have noticed that if you order more than one domain ONLY the first domain is 100% free. This I would have thought is a bug. Why would you think that? If the client ordered 10 domains, you would want them all to be free? Only 1 promo can be used per order and 1 promo applies to one item. So paypal would know to set the first payment as £0.00 but every other month at full price? Yes, that's right. Matt

Matt - I am only going on how other software handled this - if we had a free coupon we could use it against all items on one order. We tended to use this for internal use - i.e. our own domains. It doesn't make a lot of odds as we can manually go in. However if I was giving a client 10% off all orders I would expect it to do this rather than 10% off the first item.
tartan
And since the domains are with diffrent prices how WHMCS is going to determine which domain should receive the full discount?
isdoo
Maybe then we need separate coupons. discount off 1 item - specified which item. discount off entire order At the moment I cannot offer (AFAIK) a 10% coupon off all orders, as it will only discount one order and not all of them
