Group Features

Hello, I am editing the product groups in my WHMCS and I see Group Features as a box. What might this do? What can I put it in?

These are a list of features that will apply to all products in that group.

 

For example, you might have a reseller group which focuses on cPanel, and a reseller group which focuses on directadmin, and one that focuses on plesk.

 

Rather than specify that in each product, this would be a 'group feature'.

 

Another example might be hosting in certain datacenters. Shared, vps, cloud, dedicated. Again, rather than saying "Hey, this is in so and so", you can just add this as a feature.

Adding product group features allows some newer order form templates to display features that relate to all the products within the group.

 

Note: When creating a new product group, you must save it for the first time and then edit it again before you can add features

 

You can add, remove and re-order features.

 

To add a feature, enter the display text for it and hit enter or click the Add New button.

 

The feature will be added to the bottom of the list. You can re-order features by clicking and dragging the crosshair icon located to the left of the feature label.

 

To delete a feature, click the X icon located to the right of the features. To edit a feature, you will need to delete and re-create it.
