Credit card payment reminders sent when client has no card on file...

I have a real problem currently with clients getting payment reminders every day for invoices they haven't paid.

I have the following setting disabled in the automation settings in WHMCS...

Payment Reminder Emails Tick to activate overdue subscription reminders and invoice payment reminders.

The problem is - every client with an overdue invoice that has payment method set to credit card has the following reminder sent every single day...

Invoice Payment Reminder

This is a notice to remind you that you have an invoice due on 26/03/2016. We tried to bill you automatically but were unable to because we don't have your credit / debit card details on file.

I notice that the daily cron job says...

x Credit Card Payments Processed (77 Failed)

So 77 customers are receiving this message every day when the cron job runs.

How can I stop these Emails?

http://docs.whmcs.com/Automation_Settings#Attempt_Only_Once

By default, unpaid invoices will have their payment capture attempted daily until successful. By enabling this option, WHMCS will only attempt to charge the customer’s card once. If it fails, it will not try again until the client or an admin makes a manual payment attempt.

Thanks Brian, yeah I just noticed that before you replied - however, that particular message is related to them not having a card on file - and I'm using a mod that allows the client to disable auto renewal on their services, so I actually want their card to be attempted every day, should they have a card on file and they have chosen to auto renew that particular service. I also want them to be notified if the card fails. However, I don't want them to be notified every day that they don't have a card on file.

Luckily, I noticed that there is an option in the Email templates that I didn't see before....

"Tick this box to disable this email from being sent ".

So hopefully now I've ticked that option on the "Credit Card Payment Due" template, the customers won't get this message at all going forward, but if they do choose to have their products auto renewed, they will be informed every day if their payment should fail.
