Set product to use global product price for billing

I am sure this has been asked before but I can't find it. One of my all time worst things about WHMCS is that once an item is purchase it uses a separate price (The price at the time it was purchased) for all future billing. I know you have a script to update customer pricing but it is a major pain in the arse to use especially when you sell in multiple currencies and multiple years for domains.

Can you add a feature (This can't be hard) where the billing price is taken from the current product price and not the customers original purchase price, it could be set per product. for example, domains I would always want to follow the current renew pricing, not the renewal price set at the time they originally purchased the domain. For me same goes for SSLs or shared hosting which i want to follow the current pricing. Dedicated servers for me are always custom so I wouldn't want them to work that way so being able to set it per product would be great.

Please please please think about this..

thanks

Sam

Sam,

there is a third-party addon that can update your pricing in that way...

unfortunately, the author is updating their site design at the moment, so you can't buy it from their website, but it is compatible with v6.2.2

I think it's going to be the only automated update option available - if you need to expand the options in some way, it might be worth contacting the author.

btw, what you suggested is really a feature request, and WHMCS normally suggest that you post your suggestion in the requests site - https://requests.whmcs.com/ - but considering the above module is nearly 2 years old, I doubt there are any plans for WHMCS to introduce the feature unless any request received a large number of votes... and personally, I doubt even then.
