onespotweb
Hi everyone, I am relatively new to WHMCS and really enjoying making it an integral part of my business. My question however is regarding automatically billing monthly billable items. I do a lot of small ad-hoc jobs for my clients and want to add them as a billable item when completed throughout the month, and have an invoice automatically generated on the first of the following month covering all billable items for that client (if any billable items exist of course) I was hoping I could set it to "Invoice as Normal for Due Date" with a (Next) Due Date of the 15th of the following month - which would then hopefully be generated 14 days in advance (my setting for Monthly Due Date generation) meaning the invoice was sent on the 1st (or thereabouts) Unfortunately my tests dont appear to work this way, so I am assuming it doesnt treat these invoices as a monthly invoice. (my annual invoices are set to send out 30 days in advance, so I am figuring they are using this setting, and I really dont want to give these accounts a 30 day payment period) I am sure I am overlooking some simple setting somewhere or some way to do exactly what I want (Perhaps it requires some sort of a hook? I really dont know), and would greatly appreciate any help towards this seemingly simple requirement. Thank you Gary
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted March 25, 2016 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted March 25, 2016 Hi, Regretabbly there isn't currently an option to set a different invoice generation setting for billable items vs. products, so they will be invoiced the same. However we welcome feature requests online at http://requests.whmcs.com Feel free to suggest this as a new idea for comment and voting upon by other WHMCS users.
