Total disk and bandwidth calculation of WHM reseller accounts incorrect

I've opened a ticket at WHMCS regarding this issue, but they insist that it's not a bug and require access to our insallation. I'd rather not provide access due to privacy laws.

Since upgrading to WHMCS 6.x, the disk and bandwidth usage of reseller accounts are no longer calculated correctly.

With WHMCS 5, the total disk and bandwidth usage of the main cPanel/WHM account and all sub-accounts were included in the calculation.

Since WHMCS 6, only the disk and bandwidth usage of the main cPanel/WHM account is calculated. Sub-accounts are not included in the calculation.

Since we have overselling enabled, overages are no longer calculated and billed as long as the main account doesn't exceed the limits. Of course this allows clients to use unlimited space without being billed a penny. We lose money and our servers fill up much faster.

Did anyone else notice this issue?

Hi John,

All reseller accounts are owned by themselves. I ran the WHM API call manually and the stats returned by WHM were 100% correct. The total disk space and bandwidth of all accounts combined was returned. It's only WHMCS that retrieves the stats of the main account only.

Besides this, we run exactly the same setup on WHM and WHMCS since several years. There's no reason why the stats would calculate incorrectly overnight, unless something in WHMCS has changed in v6.

This ticket is old, but starting WHMCS 7.9.1, I'm having the same issue again.

Reseller stats are reported correctly by WHM, but WHMCS gets only the usage of the main reseller account. Some reseller accounts have exceeded their total disk usage and are not being billed because of this issue.

I've troubleshooted this issue for 2 hours now and can't find any clue.
