Hosting package billing cycle upgrade

Hello Folks,

I have product with monthly and annual billing cycle. I want to give a discount of 10% to the clients upgrading from monthly billing cycle to annual.

I set the discount type to 10%, selected the relevant "Applies to" and "Required" packages, selected the billing cycles as monthly and annual, checked "Enable for product upgrades", selected Upgrade Type as "Products/Services", and setup 10 percent discount here.

Went to the client's profile, clicked on upgrade and tried to change the billing cycle from monthly to annual but there was no change in upgrade amount.

Did I do something wrong?

Hi,

The upgrade amount is $0.00 due to the account being so close to the renewal date so it can't be discounted any further. WHMCS won't credit users if they use a promo code which grants a larger discount than the total of their order, it stops at $0.00.

The upgrade calculation works as follows:

Old Product/Service

Price Per Day * Number of days until next due date = Amount Credited

New Product/Service

Price Per Day * Number of days until next due date = Amount Debited

Amount Debited - Amount Credited = Total Payable Today

Total Payable Today - Discount = Discounted Upgrade Price
