.com and .net whois intermittent - affecting possibly many whmcs users - whois.crsnic.net

Today we receiving some complaints of .com domains registered with us on our domainchecker state they are available but they are not. They are old taken domains.

 

When I got this report from colleague I immediately checked the whois for .com and .net etc. and tried loading it and doing checks like cnn.com etc. Which all state available.

 

Does this actually work?

 

.com|whois.crsnic.net|No match for

.net|whois.crsnic.net|No match for

 

Seems they down or broken alot as this is not the first time reported.

 

Has anyone got any other alternatives we can try and see if it works. Such a small thing can cause bigger issues

 

Please don't ask us to troubleshoot as it has been working fine before and we have port 43 open and even with firewall disabled same issue so its something with that whoisserver I'm sure
