mauro e
Hi, I can't get the eu vat module to work properly. I try the same vat code, complete with the country code, and on the client page gets recognised and sete the client tax exempt, works also on VIES, but doesn't on the shopping cart. I was working before and I can't remember making particular changes to the tax config part. I wonder if it's upgrade related. thanks for your help regards Mauro
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 13, 2015 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 13, 2015 Hi, What error are you encountering on the shopping cart when you place the order please?
mauro e
No errors. simply nothing happens. When it was working I remember that the VAT, which is normally 20%, would automatically go to 0%, but now nothing happens. thank you
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 16, 2015 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 16, 2015 Hi, The tax on the order form won't be changed - that has never happened - but it will be removed from the invoice as always.
mauro e
Hi john, thank you for the answer. Obviously I can't remember right then, but I'm not sure of something. If you remove the VAT on the invoice, how do you adjust the payment? I mean, let's say I charge 100+vat for a service. A client puts it in the shopping basket, which says 100+20% vat=120. Then they input their VAT reg, but the shopping cart still is 120. Then they proceed to payment. What will they get charged? I immagine 120. But how can you give an invoice for 100, if they paid 120? unless you mean that a 100+vat on the invoice will become 120 with no vat, which would be wrong.
