Promotion Code only for new register domain

Hi,

 

i need an option to set to required: Only for new register domain

 

If I set a new Promotion Code for domains, the Promotion Code is available for New register/transfer/renew.

 

But the promotion auf my Domain Registrar is only for new register domains. And I dont know how to setup this.

you can't make feature requests in these forums - anyway, it's pointless as the WHMCS developers don't visit here... however, there is a specific place where you can make requests - http://requests.whmcs.com/ ... whether it's worth doing is up to you!

 

there is already a similar request... https://requests.whmcs.com/responses/promotions-per-domain-purchase-type - as you can see, it's over two years old, so you can see how quickly these requests get implemented!

 

in WHMCS, the usual way to do this currently would be to not use a promotion code, but to adjust your base price for the TLD - so if it's a .com promotion, just adjust your 1-year price to 5, and then at the end of the promo period, change it back to the default price... often these promotional discounts only apply to the first year of a registration anyway.

 

alternatively, there may be modules available for your registrar that can apply promotion pricing automatically - e.g, if you are using a LogicBoxes registrar (Resellerclub, Resell.biz or NetEarthOne), there is a free addon that can apply promotional prices and updates them daily.
