hostservice_71
Hi, For some reason I can;t find it anymore or it stopped working; Normally customers would be alarmed by WHMCS that their account is getting close to using up all bandwidth. After it does exceed it would suspend the account and parse this to Direct Admin. Now a client has a 7 GB bandwidth, used up 7.2 GB. Direct Admin has now suspended the account but WHMCS still shows Active, even though it shows the correct data (7 Gb and used: 7.2) 1) Why doesn't WHMCS alarm the client upfront? 2) Why doesn't it suspend the account (can't find/check the settings anymore) Thank you!
sentq
Isn't WHMCS check for the usage stats once per day? Why not to make another cron job to update usage stats in WHMCS every xx minutes maybe! for example: php -q /path/to/cron.php usagestats more info http://docs.whmcs.com/Cron_Tasks#System_Cron_Option_Flags

The numbers showing in WHMCS are correct. It says the limit is 7 Gb and it used more than 7.2, but it doesn't take any action. But after reading about it, it seems whmcs is missing this functionality. It only suspends on none-payments but not over-usage. Too bad. Or am I wrong?

Or am I wrong? if you go to Setup->Products/Services->Products/Services>*choose product*->Module Settings tab, there is a "Suspend at Limit" checkbox - if this is ticked, then the service should be suspended automatically.
hostservice_71
Thanks brian! I found it. And it is indeed set. Still, the product shows 'active' while it's already at 108% bandwidth... Am I missing something else?
brian!
I don't use Direct Admin, but if the suspension should be triggered by the cron, it might be worth a look in the Automation settings to see if suspension is enabled there... i'm not sure if that relates purely to billing for overages though. if you say that it worked in a previous version, it might be worth a ticket to support to check. there is a third-party addon that can do this, but i'd definitely suggest checking whether the DA module can do it first before buying the addon. http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?96286-Notify-customers-if-their-hosting-plan-disk-is-almost-full
