chrome not accepting parameters in url?

When I go to a ticket in chrome, it says ticked id not found, but if I take that same url in the address bar and put it in firefox, then it shows the ticket.

It appears that chome is not reading the query string or something.

Is there a fix for this?

on the admin or client side ? i'm not seeing it on the client side in Chrome...

do you have any extensions installed in Chrome that could be causing this?

It is both. For example, here is a product I added for my sales reps, when they sell it, they can click on it and go put in the information we need:

https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=add&pid=123

In chrome, that redirects here:

https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=view

and has nothing in the view.

Not even an empty cart. But in Firefox, there is an empty cart if I just go to:

https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=view

but if I add the product:

https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=add&pid=123

in firefox, it works just fine.

But in Chrome, Nothing.

I have disabled every extension in Chrome, and still, nothing.

it is both, on the admin and client side.

For example, if I go here:

https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=add&pid=123

or to this one:

https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=add&pid=122

In Chrome, they don't work.

In Firefox they do.

What is more, in Chrome, they redirect to this page:

https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=view

And on that page in Chrome, the content area is 100% blank, whereas in Firefox, it says my shopping cart is empty, if I just go directly to it, but if I go to one of the links that adds the product to the cart, then in Firefox it displays that, so they can checkout.

That is the issue, it just seems that the query_string in chrome is not being read. I checked other websites in chrome are not having that issue.

I removed every extension, and still it has that problem.

Hi Richard,

it is both, on the admin and client side.

For example, if I go here:

https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=add&pid=123

or to this one:

https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=add&pid=122

In Chrome, they don't work.

In Firefox they do.

for me, the above two don't work in Firefox, Chrome, Safari or IE11. (IE11 throws up a "only secure content is displayed" popup).

however, if I use: https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=add&pid=1

then I can at least get to the configuration stage, but upon going to checkout, the cart is blank (all browsers).

What is more, in Chrome, they redirect to this page:

https://actuatedmarketing.com/orders/cart.php?a=view

And on that page in Chrome, the content area is 100% blank, whereas in Firefox, it says my shopping cart is empty, if I just go directly to it, but if I go to one of the links that adds the product to the cart, then in Firefox it displays that, so they can checkout.

for me, I can't get to the checkout stage in any browser - UNLESS I tell the cart to use another order-form template, e.g boxes, verticalsteps etc.. if I do that, then I could checkout, otherwise it's just blank.

That is the issue, it just seems that the query_string in chrome is not being read. I checked other websites in chrome are not having that issue.

I think it's more likely to be a order-form template issue rather than Chrome - if you could switch your orderform and/or product groups to use one of the default orderform templates (ideally a clean one that you haven't modified), and then view your site in Chrome, I suspect the cart will work fine.

if that occurs, then the error lies with your customised orderform templates.

Oh wow. Yeah, now nothing is working. It was working before I updated to the most recent version.

Great.

I will update it to the default one and see if that fixes it.

I see that I cannot even register a new account in the current one.

It must be something updated that broke it.

Wow, that is CRAZY.

I updated it to default, changed the order form template for those two packages to the "Modern" form... and it still does not work.

What is going on.

I guess I'll notify the support people, so they can know there must be an issue.

yeah, I did update it, so it should have updated the modern order form, the default one. The one I was using was a custom one that I named "New Modern", that is still there, so I switched it over to the original "Modern" and it still has this issue.

I fixed the issue with the fields not being able to be available, (they were greyed out) it was a setting in the general settings "Other" section... I disabled those from being "edited", I just wanted it to not let them change those, AFTER they registered, but it disabled them, even from when they register. So I disabled it.

Everything else is still broke, and I did contact the support team. Hopefully they will be able to figure out what happened.
