removing my thread is a joke

Easyhosting, there should be no need to open a ticket, and then come to the forums and post a thread asking to have the ticket looked at, to get it answered quicker. That's not how this works.

Your tickets will be answered properly, as they always are.

The ticket you mention concerns database backup via cron having issues, it was replied to and suggestions provided.

The other, regarding a plugin not playing well with V6, I guess.

Have you considered posting to the forums about these two issues while you wait for Technical Support?

Have you considered testing things on a development installation to prevent any ill effects like this to your business?

no ticket HNW-079192 is regarding the Five template

opening knowledgebase.php gives off this error

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WHMCS\Smarty as array in /home/nicedayh/templates_c/99eb2c464828510fe975c2983e8091802bbeeed6.file.knowledgebase.tpl.php on line 58

and after clearing the template_c folder the error turns to

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WHMCS\Smarty as array in /home/nicedayh/public_html/clients/vendor/smarty/smarty/libs/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php(157) : eval()'d code on line 58

This isn't a new thread. Why post those details here?

Yes, I saw your post. Technical Support will be responding to the ticket as soon as they can, I'm sure. It reads to me like a question for your SysAdmin though.

i was only explaining it is not a plugin issue as you stated. this is a WHMCS issue so why should i have to go to a sysadmin to sort out a WHMCS issue.

Issue #1

i was only explaining it is not a plugin issue as you stated.

You don't need to explain anything to me, thanks though. Technical Support will get you sorted.

This is issue #2, and is related to backups/MySQL, I guess.

You don't need to explain that one to me either.

i only offered a reply to what you stated which was wrong because as far as i and others will be aware the Five theme is part of WHMCS and NOT a plugin.

these issues are WHMCS related as i have done nothing to cause these.

and you expect me to pay for something that is not working, well Infopro that might work in Houston In the USA, but does not work in the UK

I'm not from Texas, but I get your point.

Five theme works here for me. I checked it yesterday.

If it doesn't work for you, does it not work for others too? If it does not work for others too, where are their posts on this forum?

i have tried it without any custom theme and still get the same issue, but Six works fine, but my site pages are based around the Five theme, so activating Six means my site and all related pages fail to work.

So i dont have a working site/WHMCS

If you've tried using a default, freshly updated WHMCS, Five theme, and it does not work for you, there's a reason for that.

You didn't do any testing on a dev site prior to upgrading your production site, did you?

Great! That's the best way to go.

So the development site is setup identical to the production site, all but the domain. Every file, directory, every table in the database of both sites is the same, except for that domain name. And, one works one does not.

Have you considered backing up both installations and then using a compare tool to find what is not identical between the two installations? Surely something is different.

From the error on your live site, line 58 in that smarty_internal_templatebase.php is:

 $save_config_vars = $_template->config_vars;

yes and the smarty_internal_templatebase.php file is part of what WHMCS provide

The ticket has been responded to, easyhost. Your customizations or plugins is the issue it seems. I think you know the drill here troubleshooting plugins too, it was explained to you in the ticket.

Why you've seemingly got a chip on your shoulder over some outdated plugin or code, is confusing. Starting new threads isn't going to help the issue. My earlier suggestion might though. Your Development site and production site are different, clearly.

the issue addon was 'Ip Monitor'

and guess what this is a Pre added WHMCS addon, as soon as i deactivated this, everything seems to be working apart from some pages where random little black triangles appeared in some spaces and replaced all the £ symbols.
