Serenade
I've done everything required per the docs including installing the official WHMCS Google Analytics add-on module and converting my site in Google Analytics to eCommerce. No matter what though, the eCommerce section in my Analytics account is empty despite multiple orders going through. Am I missing something? Is the WHMCS Google Analytics add-on module just some glorified tracking code injector?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted May 29, 2015 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted May 29, 2015 Hi, When you view the page source, what Google Analytics code do you see? How does that compare with the analytics code your expecting to see?
Serenade
Hi,When you view the page source, what Google Analytics code do you see? How does that compare with the analytics code your expecting to see? I'm not going to paste my google analytics code for everyone to see, but I can tell you the tracking code is there. As far as what it is I'm expecting to see, nothing more than what is advertised in your blog post: The module not only integrates Google Analytics standard page tracking, but also ecommerce tracking, which passes Google the total value of orders placed, and details of the items in those orders, so that you can view statistics specifically relating to the sales you receive. This bug has been reported over 2 years ago, with no reply from WHMCS. Analytics is an extremely important aspect to my business, and for WHMCS to advertise functionality that has been broken for years is unacceptable.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 3, 2015 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 3, 2015 Hi, The Google Analytics addon does work out-of-the-box, I have it working on my test installation. If you're seeing all the code that's expected in the places that it's expected, then perhaps Google Analytics support needs to investigate a little? Should they advise that there is a change needed to the WHMCS code, please let me know.

SeedHost
I confirm that the Google Analytics module doesn't work on my end as well. I would appreciate having proper Google Analytics + eCommrece tracking support that is officially being supported by WHMCS as well. Google Analytics eCommrece tracking is so essential nowadays to many online businesses.
