Domain check taking forever

My domain checker is taking forever to load. 30 seconds to 1 minute total for one query. This is only happening in the cart, however. If i query the /domainchecker.php directly or use the function on the front page of my install, it works fine and very fast. Its when I go to the page below I have this problem. I have tried multiple order page templates, and they all seem to have no effect. Please, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the big difference that I can see between the two is when searching via domainchecker, it is only querying for one domain - when you search via the order-forms, it is checking for one domain and alternative TLDs - so it is making multiple searches.

if you go to... setup -> general settings -> domains -> bulk check tlds ... and deselect some on the TLDs on the list, then with less domains to lookup, it should make the order form pages quicker.

that said, you only seem to be looking up 7-8 additional TLDs, so it shouldn't be that slow - but I would suspect that to be a server issue rather than a WHMCS one.

When I bulk check domains using the bulk check tool, or select multiple tlds in the domainchecker, it goes way faster than using the order page. I did migrate servers recently, but kept all the settings the same. I had installed memcached and apc, but removed apc. I tried disabling memcache php extension, but it makes no difference.

to me, they seem to be about the same... e.g if I use the bulk domain check and search for 8 different .com domains, it takes about 30-35 seconds - the same time it takes to use the default domainchecker (or the order form) to search 8 TLDs.

if I do the same on our site, or even on the WHMCS demo site, it only takes 4-5 seconds.

it might be worth opening a support ticket so that the support guys can take a closer look at your setup.

I'll give that a shot. Thanks!
