akust0m
Hello, I have set my charge amount in WHMCS however I am a little confused about how it calculates how many MB they have gone over? For example, if that amount they are over by fluctuates throughout the month, does WHMCS take an average and charge based on that? Or does it grab a snapshot on a particular day during the month and use that value? Kind regards, Chris
foka
It updates the latest usage for disk and bandwidth daily. WHMCS does not calculates monthly averages for disk usage. "Update Usage Statistics Enabling this option will display disk & bandwidth usage statistics from the hosting control panel (where supported) inside the WHMCS admin and client areas and update them on a daily basis." you can read more this link. http://docs.whmcs.com/Automation_Settings
akust0m
Hello, Thank you. So for example if a customer has a 1GB plan and they use 1.8GB near the start of the billing period but as long as they come back down underneath 1GB before the end of the billing period then they will not be charged disk space overage? Kind regards, Chris
brian!
Chris, the page below from the docs might help you... http://docs.whmcs.com/Disk_Space_and_Bandwidth_Overage_Billing Usage charges are calculated on the last day of each month
akust0m
Thank you. Is there a way to get WHMCS to send out resource notifications to clients instead of leaving it to Plesk/cPanel? It would be better to have WHMCS do it so that an email history is retained.
brian!
Hi Chris, there isn't a way to do this by default with WHMCS, but there is an addon that can do it... https://www.whmcs.com/appstore/1886/Resource-Mailer.html http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?80539-PUSH-Alerts-Client-Area-Notifications-Bandwidth-Emails-amp-Framework! it seems to have not been updated since 2013, so you may want to check with the author first that it works with the latest WHMCS release before buying it.
