The product Other subdomain option

Am I right in understanding that if when setting up a new product (let's say a web hosting plan), and you head into other, that if you fill in the subdomains bit, the client can choose to get a subdomain of whichever domain you put in?

I just tried it out on my site, and it didn't once give the option to choose the sub-domain. Not sure if that's because the order auto goes into pending or not.

you are correct, it should be added as an option immediately - if you aren't seeing it, then i'm wondering if you've modified the template in some way to prevent the option... or more likely, it's a template cache issue - clearing the template cache might help.

utilities -> system -> system cleanup -> empty template cache

Thanks for your reply :)

It doesn't appear to have done anything after clearing out the template cache. The only edits I've made are to the css files, nothing beyond that. Are there any other possibilities that could be causing this do you know?
