brownsmart
Hi recently installed this addon, but I get a blank form after submitting the domain. Also cleared the template cache but still no result. you can see here.. /http://clientarea.brownsmart.co.uk/?m=claimyouruk is there a possible javascript conflict with my custom bootstrap site?
brian!
I think the answer is probably yes because if you try the link below, it seems to work fine... /http://clientarea.brownsmart.co.uk/?systpl=default&m=claimyouruk

brian!
also how do i disable that "systpl" where you can just enable the default template? I had a feeling that you were going to ask me about that! I don't think you can disable it in the software - so I think you're either looking at using htaccess to redirect visitors to your preferred template when someone tries to use systpl, or perhaps you could rename your default/portal/classic templates to something that they couldn't guess and then rename your 'brownsmart' template to 'default'. I think the way systpl works is if the template requested exists, it will use it; if it doesn't exist, it will use choose 'default' instead - so if your brownsmart template was renamed to default, and all other existing template folders were also renamed, then if anyone tries to use systpl (unless they have a lucky guess at your renamed templates), they will be directed to default. I haven't tried this, but it should work - in any event, don't delete any of the folders until you've tested it thoroughly! also, remember to be careful during whmcs updates, when uploading the template directory, to not overwrite the files in your tweaked "default" template folder. for completion, I should probably also point out that there is carttpl too where the user can determine which order-form template to use. /http://clientarea.brownsmart.co.uk/cart.php?carttpl=modern
brownsmart
I had a feeling that you were going to ask me about that! HAHAH! you saw it coming!!... not worry its not a deal breaker but many thanks for showing me this also /http://clientarea.brownsmart.co.uk/cart.php?carttpl=modern, I actually prefer this layout! Think i figured out the issue with my claimyouruk addon, its something to do with how i have edited the Bootstrap css file. AGH!
brownsmart
except for the part where it asks "Enter the domain name you wish to protect" totally ruins the sign process and experience, damn dont WHMCS have UI experts on staff to weed out these annoying tid bits that can lose sales.. c'mon keep it simple guys!
malfunction
Has this addon been abandoned? The demo doesn't seem to work any more, OP doesn't seem to be using it either. I'm suffering with the same issue as the OP, once the form is submitted I only get a code array output to the page - not going to change the template name to "default" to fix it, though, that's just asking to get overwritten.

I have abandoned it, I have even had to let go of my custom theme for a bit as its seems to effecting the tickets "reply" button as well. I reckon its because of the changes and also version of bootstrap I am using. Should I ever get any of this working I will be sure to mention it in this thread, as I hate when answered are not given! lol
malfunction
Many thanks for the response. I did also ask WHMCS but, rather than provide even the simplest of pointers on where to look, they just played the "custom template => not our problem" card and told me to get lost. So I guess we'll abandon it also until our next template do-over. FWIW it isn't anything to do with "default," as the "classic" template works OK also. Before the .uk launch I thought it was an opportunity to rake in lots of extra registrations, a rare surge in revenues. Six months after the launch the total number of .uk domains actually registered by us was 1 (which was our own domain, ordered manually through Nominet's system)
brownsmart
Many thanks for the response. I did also ask WHMCS but, rather than provide even the simplest of pointers on where to look, they just played the "custom template => not our problem" card Typical.. WHMCS, I totally hate that attitude... its rife within the tech world, and it honestly stifles our collective growth because the attitude continues like a cancer and perpetuates. I'm surprised no one has developed a competitive answer to WHMCS (yes there are others but) something that literary draws massive amounts of users to much more friendly and polished billing app. WHMCS in 2015 "to me" still looks as dated as is it did 5 years ago or longer IMHO... but its the only thing that gets the job close to done, so this is what we put up with... for now... the total number of .uk domains actually registered by us was 1 (which was our own domain, ordered manually through Nominet's system) Sorry but I got to laugh!!!, as i've done ZERO!... when you look at how the whole domain situation started and has continued, its a bit of a none-starter, however its good that .uk domains are only for those who have the .co.uk for the time being, or has that ended now? (need to go check) I need to stop forum'ing and "fix" my "custom" template!... which only had CSS changes nothing else!
