akust0m
A client of mine requested a transfer of a .com domain and picked a 2 year renewal option. It came to my attention later that only 1 year renewals are accepted upon transfer from the registry. So the client has paid my two year price and has only received 1 year renewal. The invoice was paid by existing credit in the clients account. How do I issue a refund/credit so that it keeps mine and my clients financial records correct? Kind regards, Chris
brian!
wouldn't it be easier for all concerned, once the transfer is complete, to just renew the domain again - either now, manually in 12-months time, or set it to auto-renew (and add a note to disable it afterwards)? if he's paid for a two-year transfer/renewal, it's unlikely the client is going to care how you do it - so long as the domain is transferred and an additional two years in total is added to the expiry date.
PascM
I would probably add 12 more months after the transfer and that's all !
akust0m
Thank you for your replies. I may end up doing this however the domain already has about 3 years on it. However for future reference I'd like to know the procedure I'd have to take in order to successfully resolve this problem in WHMCS.
