Transfer fee for .au domains?

Hello,

I'm trying to work out how to handle .au domain transfers. For .au domains you do not need to renew it for the minimum 1 year like with other domains.

So at first I thought I would set the transfer for .au domains to $0.00 however when a client is ordering, they are faced with a drop-down menu with the label "More Info" which has "1 Year/s @ $0.00", "2 Year/s @ $0.00" and so on.

This drop-down menu makes no sense, no renewal is required for .au domains. If I were to comment this out by editing the pages template, I'm worried a request will still be sent through to my registrar for renewal and the customer will pay $0 because that is what is set in WHMCS.

Another added benefit would be give the client an option upon transfer (if it is within 90 days) to renew the domain but only charge them if this is the case. There is a tick-box in my registrar add-on settings that states:

"Tick if you wish to perform a renewal on any .au domains submitted for transfer that are within 90 days of expiry".

This would be great however what happens if someone transfers a .com.au domain outside that 90 days of expiry? They would still be charged the renewal rate and no renewal would happen. Is there any way around this??

Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Kind regards,

Chris
