LennonZA
Hi guys, I've got a client who has registered a .net TLD. He's attempting to modify his DNS entries using the DNS manager from within the client area. However, when he creates a new entry, he gets this message: "DNS Zone not in your reseller account: domainname.tld" At first I thought that the domain might not be linked with our reseller account at Domainbox, but both WHMCS and Domainbox confirm that it is registered via our company and is in our Domainbox reseller account. The only thing that I've found is that there is no zone record on our DNS servers for the domain. Having said that, I tested the same facility with a different user account and domain (which already has DNS in place) and received the same error message. I could probably work around this by setting a cPanel account up for the client, but then I'd be forced to wonder what the point of having the DNS manager is if it's going to do this every time someone wants to tweak a domain. If anyone has figured out what to do about this, pleeeeeeeeeeeease let me know. LennonZA
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 13, 2014 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 13, 2014 Hi, To manage the DNS through your registrar, the nameservers usually need to be pointing to your registrar. Is that the case?
