Tom4744
Whenever I try to install it, I goto mydomain.net/whmcs/install/install.php And it gives me error 500 and 404, but not on anything else on my website. Pleas help!
amdbuilder
You should check your server logs as a 500 error generally points to permissions and/or htaccess related problems.

amdbuilder
You need to check your error logs to determine the cause of the problem.

amdbuilder
You should have more information in your logs including the cause of the problem. Keep in mind there are multiple types of error log including your webserver, php, etc.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 14, 2014 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 14, 2014 Hi, It sounds like you might not have access to the meaningful error logs on your server. Try contacting your server admin/hosting provider for further information.
tinkerz
While I'm not the OP, I did have this issue with a recent update and after checking my logs I found that it was actually an issue between security policies in place and the file permissions. The files were "writeable as group" as per the error log. Changing the install folder from 775 to 755 and install.php from 664 to 644 resolved the issue. Hope that helps! - Keith
