Add to Users Next Invoice Question

Hi

I need to understand this more so have a scenario:

If for example I have a product that I sell that I want to automate the billing for and that user buys 10 on the 1st of August billed on the 1st of each month. If that client then wants 5 more of the same product do I add another billable item and select add to users next invoice? Also say for example I add those 5 on the 15th of August on the next invoice does it account for the half month too?

Just trying to understand this correctly. Or is there a better way to do it?

Also is there a way to do the same via products?

Thanks

Dave

Hi,

Personally I would do this via products and configurable options.

Set the product price at your base price (ie. the amount you'd charge even if they had 0 users) this might even be 0.00 if the price is based entirely on the number of users.

Then create a configurable option for the quantity of users, you can set a price per unit (ie. price per user) so the client can select how many they want.

On the product Upgrades tab, tick the 'Configurable Options' checkbox.

The client will now be able to upgrade/downgrade their options at any time and WHMCS will automatically pro-rate them to the renewal date. Then on their regular renewal invoice they'll be charged the full amount for all the new users.
