larryd2business
Running into issue where I need to constantly refresh page to see latest content. If I don't refresh a page after I make some settings change it continues to display old information. It seems to do this on other computers, so for some reason our whmcs site keeps doing this. I'm not sure where to look, we have full control of the WHM server.
WHMCS Ryan
Hello larryd2business, If you can give me an example of the settings you change that do not seem to be taking I can look into this but it just seems to be browser cache to me. There are various ways to disable cache while testing these changes. If you are using Chrome, for example, you can use incognito mode which does not cache anything OR you can open the chrome dev tools (f12) and then click on the gear button to the right and select disable cache. If this doesn't help let me know. --Thanks
larryd2business
It seems to do this with everything. Anything I do doesn't seem to get updated. For example I deleted or accept an order. It doesn't refresh and show that the order has been deleted or accepted till I refresh the page manually. It'll do this on different computers running internet explorer or chrome. It seems like some sort of weird caching issue. - - - Updated - - - I did try Chrome in Incognito and it seems to be a bit better but still I have to refresh the page after I delete an order for it to go away, its almost like the WHMCS website is caching everything poorly.
WHMCS Ryan
Hello larryd2business, Try clearing the template cache - Utilities > System > System Cleanup > Empty Template Cache. This is usually for when you are modifying the appearance of your template but it may help you out here. Otherwise I am not aware of any caching option. You may want to talk to your hosting provider about any caching software your server might be running if none of this helps. --Thanks
larryd2business
I've tried to empty template cache, its unusual. Its our own WHM/cPanel server that we configured, which uses pretty standard WHM/cPanel installation. Not sure whats causing it myself, we only have maybe 5-6 other websites on the server and all the wordpress stuff run just fine, its just whmcs thats having these issues.
Administrators WHMCS John Posted June 19, 2014 Administrators Share Posted June 19, 2014 Hi I can confirm that WHMCS queries the values live from the database on every page load, so the only way old values would be loaded is if they were being cached somewhere. This would typically be caused by some sort of caching going on on the server, in your browser or maybe even your ISP.
