Tacet
Hello to everyone! We are currently using WHMCS version 5.3.7 and we were told that there is integrated bandwidth monitoring for admins and clients alike. We're just now getting everything setup in this new version and we were wondering if anyone knows how to monitor bandwidth, if there are any add-ons we will need, are our clients going to be able to view their bandwidth and is the monitoring in real time. We were also wondering if this monitoring would be in real time or is there a delay? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
lance
believe this runs off the daily cron job and is then viewable when you view a clients package... Believe you can also run reports in the whmcs admin too.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 9, 2014 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 9, 2014 Hi, This depends upon the provisioning module you are using and whether it supports the "Usage Updates" feature: http://docs.whmcs.com/Server_Modules If it does, then configuration instructions can be found at http://docs.whmcs.com/Disk_Space_and_Bandwidth_Overage_Billing
Tacet
Hi,This depends upon the provisioning module you are using and whether it supports the "Usage Updates" feature: http://docs.whmcs.com/Server_Modules If it does, then configuration instructions can be found at http://docs.whmcs.com/Disk_Space_and_Bandwidth_Overage_Billing Thanks John for that information. We are going to be implementing the Observium module in the next couple of days. We were hoping to be able to hire someone from WHMCS staff to walk us through the setup as we are also updating from our previous version to the newest version and wanted to explore some additional options, but it appears you don't have that service available. We were told to access assistance via the forums. Once again, we thank you for all the information and we look forward to working with you and WHMCS now and in the future! Take care!
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 10, 2014 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 10, 2014 Hi, If you'll be developing your own module, then you can find instructions for implementing the "Usage Updates" feature in your code at http://docs.whmcs.com/Provisioning_Module_Developer_Docs#The_UsageUpdate_Function
